Resurrection Dance Company's news!
Welcome everyone....
2008
Note: RDC closed in 2007 December after the last concert. January thru November the company was closed.
November 2008:
RDC has re-opened its doors on the 24th. Following 2007's last concert Ms. Koon closed its doors due to personal setbacks. Luckly, the website addy and myspace were not lost. A miracle in itself!
More to come as we delve deeper into it.....
December:
RDC are currently in rehearsal learning and choreographing. Our first preview concert will take place January 03, 2009. See the performance page for info. {SHOW WAS CANCELLED}
Additionally, we have a Blogger - www.rdcco.blogspot.com.
2009
January/February/March/April 2009:
RDC's has taken a sabitical due to the members confliction of schedules. RDC will return in 2010.
May:
Artistic Director, Ms. Koon, will be premiering excerpts of the new suite she has been working on -- Led Zeppelin in June. In addition, she will also premiere new solo material from 2008 and currently.
August:
~RDC will be holding auditions on the 8th.
~Rehearsals will begin the following Wednesday!
~Our newest members---LaKiaya Evans and Khristal Harbert!!!!
~Also, just in....... The Director is in talks with Anthony LoCascio of Tap Dogs in regards to setting a piece!!!! Very exciting.
**to make all of this possible, the director has recieved a monetary amount to pay dancer's salaries, perks, and performance payment***
September:
~RDC has been temporarily sidelined due to unforeseen complications within the company {not monetary}. All of the members who were rehearsing have resigned or been terminated. We do have a roster of 6 dancers {plus an original 2009 member}--but the director feels it is best to wait until RDC's unveiling in 2010 as previously planned.
Our blogger account will be closed until the director feels it is time to re-emerge. You may read a blog that has been posted in September 2009 -- www.rdcco.blogspot.com.
Our myspace is currently only open to "friends only" so that we may do maintence. " I am looking for a tombstone to serve as the background image!"
The director, Ms. Koon is busy at work promoting dance classes and a performing company {children} in Kingwood. She also has a tenative date set around Halloween to perform. {Just great, if RDC is not dreary enough--Halloween}.
Also, Ms. Koon's other business is begining to show a promising future. A client already has inquired about the services and both owners and supervisors think this one account could be a full time client {7 days/week}. With this one account a soild future can be secured.
Lastly, Ms. Koon is also the owner of a sister security company, Marshall Service of Texas; which was established in 1995. The name is on only paper and Mr. Thomas D. Koon {deceased} has "LAPD" styled badges for the business!
Ms. Koon was propostioned in early 2004 to sell the name, but declined at that time. In 2009, she has decided to let the name go and ask an undisclosed monetary sum for the DBA and badges. She figures if people are so interested in the name Marshall, then they can have the name for a lump sum. Perhaps, one day Marshall Investigation will be sold as well.
Now, with the profit of the sale of the business, Ms. Koon can open a dance studio---something she has never owned herself.
This is a dream that perhaps can come true!!!
November:
~The Blogger acc't has been re-opened, mysapce is public, and the website has a new look.
~The Layne Staley Memorial has info added!!
